Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting At the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, dedicated to physiology and medicine, 43 Nobel Laureates will meet 600 international young scientists.  Among scholars of the Foundation for Polish Science who successfully completed the recruitment process and found themselves among the scientists who will take part in the Nobel Laureates Meeting in Lindau in 2018 is Dr. Natalia Małek, the PhD graduate of the Institute of Pharmacology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, currently a research fellow at the University of Wrocław.
Brain Awarness Week in Kraków, March 12 - 18, 2018 Brain Awarness Week in Kraków, March 12 - 18, 2018 The Brain Week has been organized in Krakow since 1999 as part of the international Brain Awarness Week, under the patronage of The European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) and The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. The event aims to draw public attention to issues related to normal and pathological brain function and to emphasize the need for research in this area, due to the high impact of nervous system disorders on the quality of life. The conference also aims to popularize science and provides the opportunity to discuss the current state of knowledge in brain sciences.

Grant for the EpiAD project Grant for the EpiAD project As a result of 2017 JPND call for “Multinational research projects for pathway analysis across neurodegenerative diseases” the project: EpiAD: Effect of early and adult-life stress on the brain epigenome: relevance for the occurrence of Alzheimer’s Disease and Diabetes-related dementia have been suggested for funding. On the Polish side, the partner is the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences represented by prof. Agnieszka Basta-Kaim.
