Professor JERZY VETULANI died on April 6, 2017
Vice-chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Pharmacology of Polish Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, active member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Doctor honoris causa of Medical University of Silesia and Medical University of Łódź. Honorary Member of the Polish Neuroscience Society, Indian Academy of Neurosciences and Oxford Neurological Society. Awarded the Gold Cross of Merit and the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
With his passing we are losing the outstanding scholar, great propagator of science, excellent neuropharmacologist and neurobiologist who was associated with the Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow for many years and greatly participated in its development. Extremely righteous, sensitive and benevolent man, enjoying great authority, sympathy and appreciation of his colleagues, associates and young scientists.
