We are honored to invite you to an open lecture scheduled to take place in the conference hall of IF PAN at 11 a.m. on the 27th of March, 2024. The lecture, entitled: Development of Sigma Receptor modulator as non-opioid/non-narcotic agents for the treatment of Neuropathic Pain, will be delivered by Prof. Emanuele Amata Ph.D. from the University of Catania. 

Prof. Emanuele Amata is an eminent expert in the field of medicinal chemistry from the University of Catania. Following his graduation in 2006, he pursued his scientific passion, earning a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, and then furthered his research in the United States at prestigious institutions such as the University of Mississippi and Northeastern University. His research primarily focuses on the design and synthesis of sigma receptor ligands, radioligand binding assays, and the development of cheminformatics tools for medicinal chemistry. Since 2021, Prof. Amata has been serving as an associate professor of medicinal chemistry at the University of Catania, where he also chairs various master's and doctoral programs.
