Brain Awareness Week 2022
This year the Brain Awareness Week was organized from 14 to 19 March under the general theme of “Neurobiological aspects of COVID-19”. As in the previous two years the conference was organized on-line. For the complete programme and summaries of events please visit the web pages of the Polish Society of Naturalists Copernicus (in tab Brain’s Week), Café Nauka, Jagiellonian University, and Maj Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Science. The first Brain Week in Krakow was organized in 1999 as a part of the international Brain Awareness Week, under the auspices of The European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). The Brain Awareness Week in Krakow is the largest neuroscience outreach event in Poland, many lectures have several hundred attendees. This year’s online format has broadened the audience, but hopefully the next edition will return to the traditional format and see the neuroscience boat sail on the Vistula again.
