Professor Władysław Lasoń, PhD
Professor
Wladyslaw Lason got his M.Sc. at Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical Academy in Kraków in 1980 and Ph.D in the Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Sciences, Kraków in 1984. He received post-doctoral training at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, School of Medicine, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, USA, and at the Department of Comparative and Physiological Psychology at the Nijmegen University in the Netherlands. In the years 1993 - 2020 he has served as Head of the Department of Experimental Neuroendocrinology, Maj Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy, and currently he is a Professor in this unit. His main research interests are focused on basic mechanisms of epilepsy, depression and neurodegenerative diseases. He has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications.
