Biologist, neuropharmacologist, specialist in medical biology. Research field focused on mechanism of new neuroprotective, antidepressant, antipsychotic drugs, the role of oxidative stress in brain neurodegeneration. Lately, investigates the effects of psychoactive drugs, the so called ‘legal highs’ (in particular psychedelics, psychostimulants) on brain neurotransmission and behavior in animal models and their possible neurotoxicity. At present, the underlying mechanism of psilocybin as novel, rapid acting  antidepressant.
